So I guess it's time to re-enter the wild world of blogging. I've tried to do this several times in my life and have never been very successful. But since I'm about to move again and try to plant my flag in the 7 square miles that is San Francisco, I figured it was time to start this again. My point here is to create a place where I can share my thoughts and experiences with the people I care about in other parts of the country that might actually give a damn what's going on in my life. And also to have a place to share the massive amount of work that I imagine I will be creating in the process of trying to get my MFA.
Anyway, at the moment my computer is crunching away at encoding some video so that I can put together a resume/reel site so that maybe I can get one of those job things that seems to be so necessary. I'm gonna try to do it all in flash which should be an interesting adventure in continuing to learn actionscript and the technical side of making a video player in flash. I'm trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to do it right now. I think I want to make everything happen in ActionScript so that I don't have to use the stupid pre-made flash navigation skins that flash provides. But who knows, I may take the easy way out and go pre-made all the way.
I need to get back to work, but it doesn't help much that I feel like shit and really wanna go to bed, but I slept for 5 hours this evening, so that may be impossible.
